Chris Rusu

The new featured Teggno artist is Chris Rusu. Chis joined Teggno a few months ago when we signed a wicked minimal track of his to a various artists EP. Recently Chris played the Teggno WMC party, and he has a full EP coming out on Teggno in May.

US based Chris Rusu is minimal techno influenced producer. Rusu has become a favorite young producer of Teggno owner, Lance Blaise, as well as gaining air play from industry leaders like Richie Hawtin, Gabriel Ananda, Roman Gertz, Simone Tavazzi, Nihil Young, and more.

We took a few minutes to ask Chris Rusu some quick questions to let you know a little bit about him…

1. Tell us where you are from, and what is the music scene like there for EDM?
I’m from my hometown Madison WI, US. The music scene here is expanding and evolving. Projekt, a group in Milwaukee WI are bringing in some big names and great local artist which are shaking up the standard club scene here.

2. Describe your style of music…
Techno Minimal

3. What or who have been your biggest influences in your music?
Richie Hawtin has to be my main influence as well as the rest of the Minus crew. But Chris Liebing, Speedy J and Adam Beyer influenced me in my early years.

4. What are some future goals/aspirations for you as an artist or as a DJ?
Well as a DJ I would love to tour and explore new cultures and the different scenes around the world. As a artist it’s been a dream of mine to have 1 release with Minus
